Anna Clemons

August 3, 1935 — October 14, 2020

Anna Mae Clemons, age 85 of Clarkson, passed away Wednesday, October 14th 2020 at her residence. She was born at her family home in Clarkson on August 3rd 1935, the daughter of Willie & Mary Lush Heavrin. She was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church and worked on her family farm as well as serving the residents of the Springview Health & Rehab Center until her retirement. She enjoyed dancing, playing Bingo, and having a good time with family and friends. She is survived by her five sons, Mickie Clemons (Becky), Perry Clemons (Sheena), Sidney Clemons (Debbie), Danny Clemons (Susan), & Allen Clemons (Cindy), ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one brother, Edward Heavrin, and five sisters, Louise Grant, Lynn Gambrell, Nellie Stevenson, Jean Simon, & Rosie Higdon. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carman Clemons, her daughter, Sandra Kay Clemons, one daughter-in-law, Loretta Clemons, one sister, Cora Lush, and three brothers, Charles, Jessie, & Russell Heavrin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 19th 2020 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the St. Benedict Catholic Church Cemetery following the services. Visitation will held from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. All those who wish to honor and remember Anna Mae in person at the visitation or service are required to wear a mask for the safety of all those in attendance.
