Betty Lee

Betty Gene Lee, age 82 of Leitchfield passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at her residence. She was born August 10, 1939 in Leitchfield, Kentucky the daughter of the late Eugene Harris and Hallie Yates Weist. Betty was retired from Wal-Mart in Leitchfield and was an avid University of Kentucky fan. Left to honor Betty's memory are her two daughters, Robin Lee Goins and Penny Lee Butler; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; Sarah Goins Shelton, Ashley Goins Walker, Matthew Butler, Rachel Butler Heavrin and Hanna Butler Norton; and two step-sisters, Sharon Bedwell & Regina Schaefer. Aside from her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her stepmother, who raised her, Vera Harris, one sister Celia Glenn and two sons-in-law, Glen Goins and Thomas Butler. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Bobby Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Leitchfield.
