Betty Pierce

Betty Jean (Stevenson) Pierce, age 80, of Leitchfield passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Grayson Manor Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield. She was born September 10, 1938, in Leitchfield the daughter of the late Arnold and Zella Poteet Stevenson. She is survived by her children, Rose Armstrong, Wayne Hayes (Rita) and Bonnie Pierce (Greg Embry), two brothers, Murrell Stevenson (Margie) and Ted Stevenson (Dorothy), ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Including her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elmo Pierce; one son, James Thomas Hayes; and one grandson, Nathan Hayes. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Clarkson with Fr. Babu officiating. Burial will be in Leitchfield Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
