Billy Wayne Kelley, age 73 of Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin. He was born on June 30, 1950, in Leitchfield, the son of Earl William and Clara Dutschke Kelley.
Billy was his son’s hero and he loved his family. He was proud to be a decorated Vietnam Marine Corp Veteran where he was an E5 Sergeant Infantry man and a civilian contractor in the Middle East for eight years. He was a friend to everyone, even with people all over the world. He was one of a kind and enjoyed making his family laugh.
Left to honor Billy’s memory, are his son, Michael Kelley; one grandson, Austin Kelley; two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Michael Kelley; and two sisters, Polly Frasier and Donna Hendrick.
Aside from his parents, Billy was preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Kerr, Norma Beville, Peggy Mitchell, Patsy Lindsey and Diane Unthank; and one brother, Earl Clifford Kelley.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Leitchfield Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
