Charles Stevenson

Charles "Hawkeye" Stevenson, age 81 of Caneyville passed away Monday, February 21st 2022 in Leitchfield. He was born February 6th 1941 in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Charles Marion & Mary Jane Armes Stevenson. Hawkeye was a man of many talents, he was known as an honest man whose word was as good as gold. He enjoyed racing, snagging, antique shopping, but most of all being with those friends and family, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his wife, Mary Stevenson; his four children, Ezra Stevenson (Robin), Greg Stevenson (Lisa), Gloria Meredith (Robbie), & Lawrence Stevenson (Cindy); fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Thelma Stevenson-Cundiff & Sheila Stevenson. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Stevenson; two granddaughters, Chandra Fields & Rachel Stevenson; four brothers, & five sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday (February 25th 2022) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. William Logsdon. He will be laid to rest in the Scott Cemetery in Leitchfield. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
