Christine Howard

Christine Howard, age 78 of Leitchfield, passed away Monday, September 6th 2021 at Owensboro Health. She was born November 27th 1942 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of Christopher Columbus & Vina Whobrey Vincent. Christine was full of life, always greeted people with a hug & a smile. When leaving, she always told everyone that she loved them. She loved her family, friends, and her pets. She put God first and prayed a lot. She enjoyed cooking, going to church, camping, fishing, traveling, flowers, helping others, and getting together with the family. She loved with all of her heart and was the glue that held everyone together. She is survived by her three daughters, Maggie Vincent, Tina Michelle Howard, & Melissa Kay Coates (Michael); her son, Lloyd Howard (Lori); six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurston Howard, and one half-brother, Floyd Meredith and one grandson, Gilbert Larry Elder. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday (Sept 12, 2021) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the South Union Cemetery in South, KY. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
