Clara Houchin

Clara Jean Houchin, age 79 of Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, October 7th 2021 at the Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born April 11th 1942 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of Aus & Ora Bell Meredith. She is survived by her daughter, Nedra Dennis (Ray); four sons, Jimmy Houchin (Peggy), David Houchin, Bobby Houchin (Michele), & Joe Houchin (Jeannie); ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and her companion for over 30 years, Ron "Doc" Knust. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Houchin; one granddaughter, Sara Jean Houchin; three sisters, Georgia Decker, Lodean Decker, & Doris Decker; and four brothers, Oscar, Bob, Carl, & Roy Meredith. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, (Oct 14th) at the Anneta United Baptist Church in Anneta. She will be laid to rest in the Anneta Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. At the request of the family, all those attending the visitation and funeral service are required to wear face coverings at the funeral home and at the church.
