Donald Armes

Donald Carroll Armes, age 78 of Clarkson passed away Thursday, May 7th 2020 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. He was born May 20th 1941 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, the son of Denver & Edith Clark Armes. He worked for Western Auto and McCubbin's Furniture & Appliance for several years before starting his own business, Don's Appliance Service. He enjoyed working on appliances and being around his family, friends, and grandchildren. He is survive by his wife, Virginia Ree Armes, two children, Sandra Armes Sanders & Terry Armes (Patty), three step-children, Carolyn Harris (Gary Sr.), Loretta Carwile (Joseph), & Karen "Winnie" Gibson, four grandchildren, Samantha Prewitt, DeLana Clark, Nathaniel Armes, & Colton Sanders, seven step grandchildren, Tabitha Alvey, Matt Carwile, Kelsey Carwile, Ellen Geary Maples, Aaron Harris, Gary Harris, Jr., & Megan Harris, seven great grandchildren, Cierra Prewitt, Payton Prewitt, Amiyah Young, Corvain Clark, Silas Clark, Alucard Armes, & Leelin Armes, nine step great-grandchildren, Hunter Harris, Sophie Carwile, Liam Carwile, Angel Alvey, Alexis Walters, Summer Maples, Troy Maples, Jr., Carlie Geary, & Cheyenne Williams, two sisters, Gladys Burden & Jewell Burch, two brothers, Larry Armes & Robert Armes, several nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and one aunt. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son, Bryon Gibson and one step granddaughter, Kristy Carwile. A private funeral service will be held on Monday, May 11th 2020 and he will be laid to rest in the Gibson-Armes Cemetery.
