Gilbert Elder

Gilbert Larry Elder, age 34 of Leitchfield, passed away Saturday, August 8th 2020 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born December 16th 1985 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Gilbert Elder and Little Maggie Vincent. He was an "good old country boy" who loved fishing, working of vehicles and spending time with his family. He is survived by his parents, Maggie Vincent and Gilbert Elder, two brothers, Roger Elder & Carry Elder, one sister, Shelly Elder, his maternal grandparents, Christine & Thurston Howard, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12th 2020 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. He will be laid to rest in the South Union Cemetery in South, KY. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to help with the funeral expenses.
