Helen Marie Lynott

Helen Marie Lynott, age 88, formerly of Deland, FL ascended into the arms of her heavenly Father at her son’s home in Clarkson, KY on February 23, 2024.

She was born November 2, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Bartenbach.

She retired from the city of Parkland, FL where she was the city clerk for about 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, crossword puzzles, outdoor activities, working out at the YMCA in DeLand, going to church, Gardening and spending time with family. She was also always there for others, taking care of her sister who passed away and was instrumental in helping others who were sick or dying.

She is survived by her son Joseph Lynott of Clarkson, KY, his wife Martha, who was instrumental in caring for her both physically and emotionally, her loving daughter Charlene Potts of DeLand, FL, her sister Charlene Sherry of Pennsylvania, three brothers Joseph Bartenbach of Folsom, PA, Charles Bartenbach of Pennsylvania and Richard Bartenbach of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, three grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Joseph T. Lynott, two sisters, Jeanne Cade of Kerrville, TX, and Grace Bartenbach of DeLand, FL.

In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated and will be interred with her husband in DeLand, FL during a private burial at a later time.
