Joan Meredith

Joan Carolyn Meredith, age 78, of Clarkson, Kentucky, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Clarkson, KY on October 20, 1943 to her parents, Fred and Pearl Dennis Powell. Carolyn married the love of her life, Larry Buell Meredith on Dec. 20, 1958. Together they raised three beautiful daughters; Tami, Heather, and Heidi Shaye. Carolyn was proceeded in death by her parents, and five brothers; Alfred, Sammy, Paul, Maynard, and Carl Powell. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker/co-owner of Meredith Farms for 63 years. She loved taking care of her family, was an avid antique collector, and loved to cook and quilt. She was also a very proud grandmother to her six beautiful grandchildren. Carolyn was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Carolyn is survived by: Husband - Larry Buell Meredith Daughters - Tami Buellene Meredith, Bowling Green, KY Heather (Jason) Terry, Clarkson, KY Heidi Shaye (Joshua) Baldwin, Clarkson, KY Grandchildren - Alex, Aidan, Meredith (Heidi & Joshua Baldwin) Anna, Lily, and Willa (Heather & Jason Terry) Sisters - Beulah Kessinger, Greenville, IN Agnes Riggs, Upton, KY Kaye Ledford, Sonora, KY Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Leitchfield Memorial Chapel with Bro. Charles Larry Bell officiating. Burial will be in Little Flock Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm Saturday and again from 9:00 am until service time Sunday, at the funeral home. Leitchfield Memorial Chapel is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Meredith.
