John Forrister

Mr. John R. Forrister, age 80, of Clarkson, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.A He was born on October 26, 1935 in Polk County, Georgia the son of John C. Forrister & Mary Forrister Shepard.A He successfully served 24 years in the United States Army and 20 years with the United States Post Office. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen C. Forrister, daughter, Cheri Campbell and her husband Ken, son, John R. Forrister, Jr. his wife Bobbie and four grandchildren.A Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Doyle Shepard and his sister, Dorothy Hogue Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Clarkson. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m.(CDT), Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
