Joe left behind the woman he loved dearly, his wife, Theresa, whom had six children, Amanda (TJ) Pullen, Brittany (James) Leonard, Felisha (Kaelin) Reed, Adam Hutchinson, Mark Whitehead, II all of Leitchfield and Jessica Anderson of Tennessee. Also seven grandchildren and two preceded him death.
Joe was adopted by wonderful parents at the age of six months, whom both preceded him in death, Martha and Richard Justis, Jr. However, almost thirty-five years ago Joe was reunited with his brothers and sisters. Joe is survived by a brother, Garry Elmore of Greensburg, sister, Marsha Underwood of Summersville, sister, Boneva (Kihm) Johnson of Lexington, sister, Rhonda Hudson of Indiana, brothers, Ricky Elmore and James Elmore of Burkesville, and sisters Regina Costello and Mary Lara of Scottsville. Preceding him in death were sister, Victoria Groce and brother, Jesse Elmore. Joe is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. His best friends, David Riley, Mike Pierce and Mike Crume.
Joe was an eleven year dialysis patient and sadly that took its toll on his body, however, Joe was a popular guy. One might remember him from his former years of growing up in Caneyville playing softball or basketball. Recently, though, you may remember him for his work at Rally’s or Taco Bell. His favorite things to do was spend time with those he loved, especially “Jay Duck”, watch sports on television, play Bingo, and spend time with his dog, Bear.
