June Decker

June Marie Decker, age 86, of Leitchfield passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born on November 8, 1935 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky the daughter of Noah and Dorothy Keith Reed. June was a fiesty lady and very opinionated. But her family knew her love. She would stand on the porch and watch her family until they were out of sight just to get one more look at them. Her love and caring for her family will always be remembered. Her family describes her as "one in a million." Left to honor June's memory are, one son, Martin Cook and his wife Mary; two daughters, Sandra Meredith and Tammy Garner; one daughter by choice, Mildred Caldwell; one sister, Viola Cunningham; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Aside from her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Orin "Kip" Decker; one daughter, Ulyssa Decker; and one granddaughter, Shawn Valera. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to assist with final expenses. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Jeremy Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Peonia. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm Tuesday and again from 9:00 am until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
