Junior Mcgrew

Junior Wavey McGrew, Sr., age 88 of Bardstown, passed away, Tuesday, April 20th 2021 at his residence. He was born August 17th 1932 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Kergus & Mary McGrew. He is survived by his children, Roger McGrew (Pam), Alex Spaulding, Vickie Logsdon (Ernie), Barbara Offutt (James), Bobby Spaulding (Teresa), Elaine Lashley (Glen), Joyce Simon, Dwayne McGrew (Angie), Norma McGrew, Junior Wavey McGrew, Jr. (Lisa), & Tommy Spaulding (Debi); twenty-six grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Louise Jarboe; and two brothers, Harlan McGrew & Delana McGrew. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mae Samuels McGrew; five children, Wynnetta Carr, Deloris Hall, Darrell McGrew, Danny McGrew, & Dina McGrew; two sisters, Joyce Saltsman & Dimple Johnson; and one brother, Carlen McGrew. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon (CDT), Sunday, April 25th 2021 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Neil Carnes officiating. He will be laid to rest in the McGrew Cemetery in Anneta. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. (CDT), Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends who wish to honor and remember Junior in person at the visitation or funeral are required to wear a mask while in the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
