Karen Gibson

Karen Lynetta Gibson, age 57 of Clarkson, passed away Wednesday, November 3rd 2021 at the Baptist Health Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was born October 7th 1964 in Clarkson, Kentucky, the daughter of Chesteen Gibson and Virginia Ree Williams Armes. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Maples; four grandchildren, Carlie Geary, Troy Maples, Jr., Summer Maples, & Cheyenne Williams; her mother, Virginia Armes; and two sisters, Carolyn Harris & Loretta Carwile. She was preceded in death by her father, Chesteen Gibson and one brother, Byran Gibson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday (Nov. 18th), at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Carwile officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Gibson-Armes Cemetery in Clarkson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday (Nov 17th) and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday (Nov 18th) at the funeral home.
