Larry Beotis Hampton, age 57 of Big Clifty passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. He was born February 6, 1964 in Leighton, Alabama the son of the late Robert L. and Carrie O. Brown Hampton. Larry was a very happy man. People who know him recognized his big smile and laugh. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone he could. Larry was an avid deer hunter and a U.K. fan. He enjoyed spending time and traveling with his wife, Diana. Left to honor Larry's memory are, his wife, Diana Wilson Hampton, two children, Larry Hampton and Beotis Hampton (Tara), three step-children, Samantha Waggoner (John), Heather Embry (Teon), and Gene Greenwell, three grandchildren, Keishaun, Kiondre, and Jaiden, three step-grandchildren, Aysen, Andrew and Amaya, two brothers, Robert Leon Hampton (Samala) and Timmy Brown (Valerie), five sisters, Rose Hampton, Mattie Hampton, Tomella Morgan (William), Mary Theresa Thompson (Stephen) and Charlene Brown, two aunts, Josephine Brown and Bessie Mae Brown, brothers-in-law, Wayne Wilson, Tim Wilson (Linda) and Jerry Wilson (Lisa), a host of nieces and nephews and he was a special father figure to his nephew Michael Crawford, and his very best friend, Donnie Morgan (Carolyn). Aside from his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Sue Hampton and a brother, O'neal Brown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Tony Redmon officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
