Margaret Pickerell

Arlene Pickerell, age 76 of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, August 6th 2021 at the Morgantown Care & Rehabilitation facility. She was born June 22nd 1945 in Sadler, Kentucky, the daughter of Exie & Effie Sanders Cook. She worked as an insurance agent, working for different agencies. Arlene was a member of the American Legion Post 81 Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and softball when she was able, but her greatest enjoyment in life was being a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Lisa Brewer, Steve Bertram, & Christi Harp; four grandchildren, Ashley Oller, Kayla Perry, Savanah Armes, & Nicholas Payton; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Arvell Cook, and one sister, Lois Meredith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Pickerell; three brothers, Ovie, Ray, & Doyal Cook; and two sisters, Clara Embry & Linda Daniel. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday (August 15th 2021) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Family and friends may come to pay their respects to the family from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
