Mary Burden

Mary Bell Burden, age 80 of Clarkson, passed away Thursday, March 4th 2021 at her residence. She was born April 18th 1940 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Judd & Mary Agalene Williams Nunn. She was a devoted housewife, loving mother, and grandmother and a member of the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Judd Bradley Pennington (Vonda), Mary Glenn (John), Pam Willis (Pat), & Kay Hafford (Eric); seven grandchildren, Tim Nunn, Bradley Pennington, Josh Willis, Zach Willis, Colton Glenn, Taylor Glenn, & Carissa Hafford; four great grandchildren, Axel Fuqua, Landyn Nunn, Elly Mae Nunn, & Jacelyn Nunn; one sister, Minnie Hills (Marvin); three brothers, Orval Nunn (Doris), Cloye Nunn (Patsy), & Jimmy Nunn; and three sisters-in-law, Virginia Nunn, Donna Nunn, & Debra Webb. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eskel Burden; son, David Nunn; daughter, Crystal Burden; grandson, Robert Dale Pennington; and two brothers, Judd Elbert Nunn & Charles Dean Nunn. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 9th 2021 at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church in Leitchfield. She will be laid to rest in the New Hope Cemetery in Caneyville. Visitation will be held after 2:00 p.m., Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Family and friends who wish to honor and remember Mrs. Burden at the visitation or the funeral are required to wear a mask while inside the church for the safety of all those in attendance. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to help with the funeral expenses.
