Mary Mcgrew

Mary Louise McGrew, age 95 of Clarkson, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab in Leitchfield. She was born March 15, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of John E. and Risi Yates Hart. Mary was a hard worker and was very talented. She worked at several places in her life and retired from Bel Cheese. She was a talented florist, baker, upholsterer, painter and quilter. She spent much of her life as a caregiver, caring for many relatives at the end of their lives. Left to honor Mary's memory, are her son James "Jim" McGrew and his wife, Kathy, one granddaughter, Shelly Bell and five great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob McGrew, one son, Bobby McGrew, one daughter, Helen McGrew, one brother, Junior Hart and one grandson, Zachary Lindsey. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Jim Butler officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Watson & Hunt Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with care of Mrs. McGrew.
