Richard Jewell

Richard L. Jewell, age 77 of Louisville, KY, passed away Thursday, February 4th 2021 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born June 2nd 1943 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of Jack & Alma Watson Jewell. He is survived by his sister, Mary Stevenson (Charles) and his brother, Edward Jewell (Cathy), and several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Jewell, his son, David Jewell, four brothers, Carl, Charles, Alan, & Harlan Jewell, and five sisters, Alice Cottrell, Elizabeth Cherry, Nancy Cottrell, Gertrude Coates, & Leodi Jewell. Funeral services will be private. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon, Sunday, February 7th 2021 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. He will be laid to rest in the Scott Cemetery following the services. Family and friends who wish to honor and remember Mr. Jewell at the visitation are required to wear a mask while inside the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
