Robert Jesse Frakes

Robert Jesse Frakes, age 80 of Falls of Rough, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at his residence surrounded by all of his girls. He was born on December 17, 1943, in Daviess County, the son of the late Jesse M. and Evelyn “Marscena” (Taylor) Frakes.

Robert was a member of Caneyville Baptist Church and lived his Christian life every day. His desire was that all “could experience Jesus’ saving grace,” as he wrote in the closing chapter of his book. He was a true and generous entrepreneur, starting several businesses and helping family during hard times. Robert had the patience of Job and never got angry. His most precious treasure was his family.

Left to honor Robert’s memory, is his wife, Linda Rose (Beard) Frakes; two daughters, Shannon F. Loughran and Danielle Yerardi; five grandchildren, Haley Nicole Greenweller (Zach), Luke Thomas Loughran, Jonathan Paul Loughran, Matthew Robert Loughran and Angelo Nino Yerardi; and two sisters, Mildred “Millie” Frakes and Shirley Frakes.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kenneth Yerardi.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Leitchfield Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Clemons and Bro. Darrell Arndell officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
