Tonya Risinger

Tonya Gayle Risinger, age 38, of Sweeden, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was born November 23, 1982 in Leitchfield, Kentucky the daughter of Steve Risinger and the late Diane Saltsman Risinger. Tonya had a big heart and loved her family fiercely. She had a special mother's love for her son and a strong bond with her sister. Tonya was an avid music lover and enjoyed watching the "Golden Girls". Other than her mother, Tonya was preceded in death by her mamaw, Mary Lou Saltsman, her papaw, Robert Thomas Saltsman, her grandma, Janie Risinger and her brother, Stephen Louis Risinger. Left to honor Tonya's memory are her son Stephen Risinger, her sister, Maryjane Spainhoward (Nick), her niece, Amber Yates (Dakota), her aunts and uncles, Vicky McDonald (Aaron Braye), Patricia Burriss (Donnie), Charlene Noblett (Danny), Robert Saltsman (Tammee), and Kevin Saltsman and 26 cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in Prewitt Cemetery in Leitchfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and Friends who wish to honor and remember Tonya Risinger in person at the visitation or funeral are required to wear a mask while in the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
