Wilma K. VanMeter, 100 years, 9 months, & 15 days of age, passed away Friday, January 24th 2020 at the Springview Nursing & Rehab Center in Leitchfield. She was born April 8th 1919 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Sterling & Sylvia Meredith-Logsdon. She is survived by her daughters, Helen Lyninger (Phillip), Sue VanMeter (Randy), & Mary Newton, two sisters, Maggie Decker & Imogene Sandlin, two brothers, James Logsdon & David Logsdon, eleven grandchildren, and thirty-three great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles VanMeter, one daughter, Brenda Bush, one grandson, Richard Decker, one great granddaughter, Beth Flener, one brother, Harlan Logsdon, and five sisters, Geneva Decker, Nora Mercer, Betty Saltsman, Mildred Newton, and Mary Louise Logsdon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday (January 27th) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday (Jan 26th) and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
