Winthrop Carter

Winthrop "W.R." Roser Carter, Jr. age 74, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born October 18, 1944 in Lynchburg, VA the son of Winthrop Roser Carter, Sr. and Carolyn Serber Carter. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Marie Carter, daughter, Beth Carter Gaskin (Derek), step son, Jeffrey Clark (Carol) fifteen grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Carter and step son, Kevin Clark. In lieu of burial, cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 5:00 at the Watson and Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, Kentucky. There will be a gathering for family and friends from 3:00 until the time of service.
